..and the Pats become the first NFL team to clinch a playoff slot.

They're getting back their old pre-2007 reputation of being a tough, hard-nosed, cold weather team. The offense is almost robotic in its precision. The defense is more opportunistic than good, but that is very likely due to good coaching and film study.

Anyone else see a Cowboy player (#23, not going to look it up) getting his game glove signed by Michael Vick just after the Eagles defeated the Cowboys tonight?
I can't imagine that's going to sit well in the Dallas locker room.

Tashard Choice. There are many rumblings about it on Twitter already, including a response from the man himself, saying that the glove is for his three year old nephew.

I don't really have any beef with Choice getting the autograph, aside from the fact that he's actually supporting his three-year-old nephew being a fan of a guy who tortures animals for fun.
I'm more concerned with what sort of education Tashard got at Georgia Tech. Do they not have English courses there?

I can't believe that people are making a big deal about the autograph. The guys act like best friends, hug, chit chat, and joke around, but somehow an autograph is out of bounds.

WWJJD. (What would Jimmy Johnson do?) I still remember him going off on Everson Walls for chatting with opposing players after a loss.

It strikes me as easy morality to pile on Choice. They competed. Game over.
But the timing... the timing...
I think the truth is that we expect these guys to think about these things the way that we as fans do. And they just don't. Stop asking.

Good lord the Pats are absolute beasts now. They're putting up offensive numbers like their '07-08 season, but with defense to match.
