I lived in Brisbane for a few years, and I can only echo the thoughts of a random Guardian commenter about the Gabba pitch as a metaphor for the city when he said that for the first few days it's reasonably exciting, then it turns dull, flat and boring.

Best bit of commentary I heard was on TMS from an Aussie (not sure which one other than that it wasn't Slater): "This is some display... the best in Australia from a Cook since about 1770."

Judges had this one scored 10-9 to Andre Johnson.

Fan falls to his death at the Bears/Eagles game. At least his parents aren't to blame.

and Johnson only gets $25k fine for ripping a guys helmet off and pounding him in the head, and act which drew a flag and ejection. Meanwhile Harrison hit with 3 times that amount for a legal hit on a receiver in which no flag was thrown and no foul committed per the rules (since the receiver was a ball-carrier and not defenseless). Way to go Goodall.

bdaddy, the NFL Network does not want to see one of the star players missing for the Thursday night game. Goodell is not his own boss. I can't really think of very many suspensions in the NFL for fights. Haynesworth got suspended but he stomped on someone's head and the guy had to have 30 stitches. Romanowski broke one of his teammate's orbital bone during a scrimmage and he got suspended by the Raiders for one day (not game, day). Andre Rison and Deion Sanders had a little battle and neither one of them were even rejected.
