Pacers Score 54 Points in One Quarter: The Indiana Pacers made 20-out-of-21 shots in the third quarter of their 144-113 win over the Denver Nuggets Tuesday, amassing a 54-point total that is the fourth highest scoring quarter in NBA history. "It really was one of those things that happens on video games," Pacers forward Danny Granger said. "Actually, I'm not even sure it can even happen on a video game."

Has the Carmelo to Miami (or wherever) watch started?

It wasn't even especially poor defense. Denver probably could have closed out better but they contested almost every shot and there were very few layups. Just a virtuosic quarter by the pacers, and especially Dunleavy.

It started before the season. The Nuggets have been playing great so far this year, including a 7th ranked defense (last I checked, probably not anymore), The Melo distraction hasn't stopped them from playing hard.

It was incredible to watch. I've never seen anything like it in 29 years of NBA fandom. A great night to be a Pacers fan. Can't fault McBob, he was just doing his job.
