Rangers Win Game 3 Over Giants: A three-run home run by first baseman Mitch Moreland and a 7 2/3-inning, five-hit, two-run outing from starter Colby Lewis led the Texas Rangers to a 4-2 win over the San Francisco Giants Saturday night in the World Series. The Giants' lead has been cut to 2-1 with two more games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
Washington's curious move works, and Rangers are back in business

Nice piece of writing by Posnanski. I thought it was nuts to bring in O'Day there instead of Feliz.
Last night was the first World Series game win for the state of Texas. It took a combined 99 seasons of baseball.
Mitch Moreland is an incredibly tough out for a rookie. He wouldn't even be in the lineup without Justin Smoak going to Seattle in the Cliff Lee trade. He started the season at Triple A.

I'm glad the Rangers finally showed up. More than anything, I want this to be a competitive series as I can't decide which fan base is more suffering (or insufferable).
I like the Rangers again tonight, but like San Fran in the next two.
Also - who the hell is Mitch Moreland?
And I do get the feeling that Ron Washington is eventually going to cost the Rangers the series. He makes interesting moves, to be nice about it.

Great game from the Ranger's perspective and nice to see for a town that has waited a long time for a World Series win.
