Washington's Drug Woes Brought Texas Together: The best season in Texas Rangers history is owed in part to the team's decision not to fire Manager Ron Washington after he took cocaine and failed a drug test in mid-2009. The team closed ranks around the manager they call "Wash" after he revealed his mistake. "It's been amazing to watch the way that team has pulled together and come this far," said Nick Swisher of the New York Yankees.
