My suspicion: Greg Maddux stole them when he retired. He's selling them on the Japanese black market.

Together with livers, kidneys and other organs he has harvested from hobos and street walkers.

Someone should really get around to documenting when the end of the fucking "steroids era" happened.

I thought it was 2009, when home runs were down at the start of the season in the American league (but then finished as the highest per-game total since 2004).

I thought it was 2007, when the Mitchell Report was released, and the media attention was at its brightest.

I thought it was 2005, when MLB announced stricter steroid testing and harsher punishments.

I thought it was 2002, when MLB announced comprehensive steroid testing.

Are we to believe that even though nothing happened during the the 2010 off-season, THIS is when the steroid era ended?
