Padres Lose Ninth Straight Game: The Colorado Rockies won 6-2 on the road to hand the reeling NL West-leading San Diego Padres their ninth straight loss on Saturday. "It's almost like we're waiting for something bad to happen," said Padres third baseman Chase Headley. Their lead over the San Francisco Giants has shrunk to two games.

Well, the lead was only ever really up to 6 game, so it's not that crazy. They were up on the Giants by 2 a month ago or so when Jonathan Sanches made his remark about sweeping the Padres in a weekend series and never looking back. The 6 game lead was the largest lead they've had all season.
