Canadian Medical Association Urges MMA Ban: The Canadian Medical Association has voted to urge the country to ban mixed martial arts. "This is an activity that leads to serious issues, including damage to people's brains, and we must speak out against that," said CMA President Anne Doig.

Mixed martial arts isn't the only combat sport that the CMA wants to get the chop. For almost a decade, the organization has been trying to get boxing prohibited.

Seems like the CMA is against any combative sport. What's next? The ban of football?

I don't see any reasonable way anyone could endorse hockey and football, and seek to ban MMA and boxing based on safety.

To say you are going to "urge the country" is a pretty agressive stance. My advice to Canada is to pack up your shit and move en masse to North Dakota, which is vacant right now, before things get out of hand.
