Nowitzi Signs with Dallas: Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks have agreed to a deal for more than $80 million over four years with a no-trade clause. Nowitzki is the team's all-time scoring and rebounding leader and has led them to 10 straight 50-win seasons (though no NBA titles).

Whoop whoop whoop. There might be bigger stars hanging out there, but without Dirk the Mavs are nothing.

Yep. It's a shame he didn't get a ring when his team was up 2-0 on the Heat in the NBA Finals and led game 3 by 13 in the fourth quarter. But he's the franchise. If Cuban had resigned Nash I think they would've won one.

I like this. Nowitzki should be a Mav for life. Nice to know apparently he thinks so too.

Only second NBA contract with a no trade clause, interesting that more players don't look for that, but then he did take a smaller dollar amount by far (could have had a $96M max deal) to get it.
