Tim Howard May Have Broken Ribs: Standout U.S. goalkeeper Tim Howard may have suffered broken ribs from the agonizing cleat-to-chest collision with England's Emile Heskey in Saturday's match against England, U.S. coach Bob Bradley said. The U.S. plays next against Slovenia on Friday. "When you see the way Timmy handled himself after the collision, you'd certainly expect he'll be on the field again," he said.

Heskey was just softening him up in the middle so that 10 minutes later when he hammered the ball straight into his chest it would stick!

Sounds like Howard is well enough to play.

This is a relief ... I am hoping that by the end of the tournament Howard will be amongst the best XI. He made a great showing against England and if he plays that well in the other two group matches, we should advance easily.

Although I guess to be honest, I hope he isn't desperately needed in the other two group games.

This is your medical opinion, or is there actually a link that states this ?
