It's French, it's weird, and the Andy Murray bit may be borderline racist.

Nah, but it's too weird to watch all the way through.

German skater falsely accused of blood doping.

The better part is, where the author explains the weaknesses of the doping control system, that led to the current situation.

I think this is the salient point indeed.

call me anal, but the punctuation in that sentence is all wrong though, isn't it?

yes, it reads like it's badly translated.

It looks like Edmonton can truly say farewell to the era that gave it a veritable right to be named the City of Champions. This will be the first season that Bryan Hall won't be announcing the Edmonton Eskimo games on CHED radio. But, in an announcement that will likely be harder for more fans to accept, Rod Phillips is calling it a career, going on-air for only 10 "classic" games for the 2010-11 season.

Anyone who grew up (like I did) during the Oilers' glory years are more likely to recognize Rod Phillips' voice than the famed HNIC anthem ... the TVs were muted and the radios were tuned to the broadcast.

Farewell, Mr. Phillips ... thanks for the years of service.

They used fake hair for the ABBA song, too. I don't see how one is different from the other.

"may be", "borderline"

I'm not convinced one way or the other, but it's rather tasteless and unnecessary.

Field goals are in the other football, fella.

Doping common in Canadian university football, Waterloo player says

Oh, goody! My alma mater!

To be fair, Waterloo football has been terrible for about 20 years now, so I wouldn't be surprised no one noticed if they were juicing.
