Today's Nashua (NH) Telegraph has a story of someone trying to get the positive side of NFL players before the public. The intent is to use these players' accomplishments to provide inspiration to others, particularly young people. Here's the link to her web site, which has some of the stories. I'm not sure if the writer, Tom King, was intentionally trying to make her look more heroic by highlighting her difficulties, but I really wonder at NFL teams initially being reluctant to support something like this.

Fireworks send Lastings Milledge into an ill-fated home-run trot
"I think that was the most exciting double in PNC Park history," Milledge said sheepishly. "It was my fault, and I didn't look at the ball. I was running hard, making sure that I had a double, and I looked up and all the fireworks were going off and I had a lapse for a second."
