Sports watching as quantum mechanics.

Boston Bruins this afternoon scored 3 short-handed goals in 64 seconds. According to the Boston announcing team it is the first time in NHL history that 3 shorties have been scored during the same penalty, and it is also the fastest 3 short-handed goals in NHL history. It was an amazing thing to see, and fun to hear Jack Edwards lose what little is left of his mind. Can't find any links yet, but I'm sure they'll show up soon enough.

Video of the 3 shorties here.

That's just nuts...

That was great. Some of the commenters entered into the spirit of the occasion, too.

Man, I could listen to Jack Edwards go nuts every day. I wish he had a better team to talk about. And I love Andy Brickley for disagreeing with Edwards' homerism at the beginning of the video. I've said it before, but it's a mark of how good Brickley is at his job that he's on a national channel (admittedly it's Versus) in spite of the fact he doesn't speak the same language as most of the viewers.

It says everything you need to know about the 2010 Bruins that the 3 short-handed goals doubled their total for the whole season.
