Former NBA star Abdul-Rauf has kept the faith: Its been 14 years since Mahoud Abdul-Rauf set off a firestorm of criticism by refusing to stand for national anthem before NBA games.

It was insane enough, since the criticism pretty much cost him his job in the NBA. I still find it dificult to believe that he was suspended for not standing for the national anthem but groups like Phelps and his "church" can badger people at will and their first amendment rights are protected.

Imagine the insanity from the media if he did that 6 years later...
