Drogba's Goal Sends Chelsea Over Man United: Helped by a controversial goal by Didier Drogba, Chelsea beat Manchester United 2-1 to move into first place in the Premier League. Sir Alex Ferguson blasted the officiating afterwards: "What I can't understand is the linesman's directly in front of it," he said. "He has no one near him and he gets it wrong."
So since both of those goals shouldn't have counted, Chelsea still wins on Joe Cole's quite lovely backheel, which I can't find a video of on YouTube. If you know of a link, drop it in here. It's quite a goal.

Macheda's hand was very hard (for me) to see during the many replays, which I watched in HD. Drogba was far enough offside that you could see green space between him and the last defender.

Offside is miscalled all the time -- it's refreshing to see an instance that favors the offense.

Ferguson went on to point out that Federico Macheda's goal for United should have been disallowed for handball.
Oh no wait, no he didn't.
