Illinois Teen Becomes Hoops Scouting Guru: An 18-year-old less than a year out of high school has become the go-to guy for college coaches recruiting prep basketball players in Illinois. Daniel Poneman began IllinoisHSBasketball.Com when he was 14 and is about to go national. "I would not skip college just so I could become a basketball scout and make money," said Poneman, who is holding a March 28 tournament in Deerfield, Illinois, to showcase lesser-known players for coaches at mid- and lower-level college programs. "I would only make that choice if there was a larger impact I could make."

This guy reminds me of Aaron Swartz and some of the other people who start amazing careers in their early teens and make the rest of us look bad before they reach age 20. I think it's a big mistake for him to skip college, though.
