Vegas Odds College Basketball 2010: NCAA Tournament Odds: Vegas likes Kansas and Kentucky as March Madness favorites.

I agree with Kansas as #1 but I'm surprised, some of those 300/200:1 teams are not going to break some teams' heart and get further than one would expect. I think Siena, Utah State, San Diego State and St. Mary's may surprise. I hate Huggins but give me 10:1 I'll take that as my long shot. But Kansas has it all. Who is your bracket buster and champion?

I have bought into a significant amount of the Baylor hype. I like them as a pseudo-darkhorse (they are a 3 after all). But I'm rooting for Syracuse.

I still can't believe what Scott Drew has done at Baylor. Some programs have rules violations problems. Baylor had corpses. And Dave Bliss.

The only more dire situation I can think of with a hoops team in recent memory is when the Oklahoma State plane went down.

No one wanted the Baylor job and Drew jumped at it. The rest has been stunning to see.

Because Drew is originally a Butler man, I'll tab Butler as my choice to go some distance in the tournament. Well into the second weekend anyway. They're seeded too high to be thought of as a bracket buster, though.

I also have an idea that New Mexico will go fairly far. But no big deal there - they are also a high seed. I think they can beat WVU.

Canada's NCAA tournament team

For those of us north of the 49th parallel, looking for a team to cheer for.

I had assumed Weedy's support for the 'Cuse was a Rautins/Canada thing. Perhaps they are second choice.

Yeah, yeah - Gonzaga has four 'nucks. But it's not always about Canada. Sheesh, we are getting insufferable.

And I'd like to see Rautins bring home a championship strictly because his insufferable patronizing father did not. (Not that I don't respect his contribution to Canadian basketball, I do, I just can't stand him as a colour guy.)
