'Switch hitting' is allowed in cricket. Or is it? No-one's quite sure.

This is an editorial from a recent interview on a local Pittsburgh sports talkradio show. I know it is UFC, but did Frank Mir go to far with his comment? In a sport like this, that type of threat is a scare thought.

Mike Tyson said he wanted to eat Lennox Lewis's kids.

Mir is entertaining but a loud mouth. After he made Lesnar tap out in Lesnar's UFC debut, he was talking trash about Lesnar not being a legit MMA fighter. Before Lesnar/Mir II, Mir kept talking so much trash that Lesnar was fed up and went out there and shut Mir up.

Now, Mir is back to his trash talking routine and truly went too far with his, "I want to break his neck in the ring...I want him to be the first person that dies due to Octagon-related injuries." comments.

His mouth is writing a check that his ass can't cash and Lesnar is going to beat him down even more so than he did in the second fight. IMO, Lesnar had Mir beat in their first fight and Lesnar made a rookie mistake by standing up and turning his back to Mir and Mir capitalized on that but like their second fight, Lesnar was straight pounding Mir's face with his hamhock hands, he just didn't finish him off.

I would love to see it. Brock is a Beast and the more experience he gets, the less likely Mir is to get him in a submission move again. I just hope his is recovered fully from his hospital stay before he is back in the ring

Absolutely. Brock just made a mistake in his debut against Mir and it cost him but before that, Brock was all over Mir just like in their seond fight when he won the UFC heavyweight championship.

No doubt, It was a rookie mistake. Mir/Lesner III will be a Frank Mir beatdown when it happens. I think Brock is going to go on a run of winning the likes of which has not been seen since Dan "the beast" Severns. The only person that could beat a healthy Brock is himself or Randy Coutour 10 years ago. No one else has the size and athleticism to compete.,

Or Brock's power and speed for a guy his size (6'3" 265 lbs. plus). Brock can be the greatest heavyweight to fight in the UFC and I totally agree with your Dan Severn comparison. The Beast was exactly just that in his prime, a beast and Brock has all the tools in his arsenal to surpass Severn.

The dream MMA fight that I hope happens one day is Fedor Emelianenko (who is considered by many to be the best heavyweight fighter out there) versus Lesnar but I don't think it'll ever happen. I sure don't know why Emelianenko has declined Dana White's UFC invitation but if I was ever asked to fight Brock, I would decline as well.

Former NBA star Jayson Williams is sentenced to five years in prison

Its about time. That dragged more then O.J. IT should not have taken 8 years for this to happen.

Love the US justice system.

Good NBA teams tend to be touchier than bad ones.

What's even nuttier is that it took longer for him to be sentenced (8 years) than his actual sentence (5 years).
