Serena Williams wins the Australian Open

Apropos of not much, the official program lists Serena at 68 kg. If that's her real weight, then I'm Kate Moss.

Hello, I'm Johnny Depp.

Togo has been banned from the next two Africa Cups for the crime of being shot at and wearing their shorts in a provoking manner.

Another stupid decision by football officialdom.

Meanwhile, why tennis parents are snobs, desperates and psychopaths.

I had that same conversation with a friend a few years ago. When a woman as tall as Serena has a build like hers (muscular as hell) there just isn't a chance for her to weigh anything close to that. Kind of dismissive of muscular women to expect them to weigh the same as a waif of similar height, no?

Doesn't help the body image of young women, either, if she's in (public) denial.

According to Wikipedia, she's 79kg.

Here's the program entry. Maybe you Septics can't figure out conversions to the metric system :-).

It could be one of those things that they don't update regularly. They measure you when you start and then don't bother changing it. The NBA does that. Their measurements are frequently questionable. The WTA player profile for Monica Seles has her at 61 kg, so, yeah, they don't adjust them regularly.
