One of the big reasons for the success of the Jets and Vikings is that their team names are embedded in the user names of certain SpoFi members....I will immediately initiate an invitational bidding war between the Lions, Browns, and Saints for the re-naming rights to my SpoFi user ID.
Must only work in the N.F.L., Oregon State hasn't won too many national championships lately. ;-)

I should have clarified that point about my existing user name. I definitely understand why people would make that connection.
Actually, it's a pretty random user name. I think it came about during an idle, associative moment after "waterboarding" had entered the national consciousness.
I realized that many different types of "boarding" might be possible. Some torturous, some not.

As to my moniker bringing good luck, I will take any help for the Vikings I can get!
Either way, the NFC champion will be playing in a couple of weeks for their first SB win! Gotta love that.

I do like that, it's nice to see different teams getting their kick at the can.
That's one of the things I enjoy about the N.F.L., as opposed to M.L.B. You can pretty much eliminate 15 of the 30 teams in M.L.B. from playoff contention right now. Barring rule changes regarding salaries, it will continue for the forseeable future*.
*With occasional blips on the radar.

If the Jets and Vikes win today and go to the Super Bowl, I will immediately initiate an invitational bidding war between the Lions, Browns, and Saints for the re-naming rights to my SpoFi user ID.
(The Jags and Texans haven't been around quite long enough to qualify for this unique, pain-and-suffering-based opportunity).
