FIFA Won't Punish Thierry Henry for Handball: Thierry Henry will not be punished for his handball in France's World Cup finals victory over the Republic of Ireland, FIFA has decided. "Handling the ball cannot be regarded as a serious infringement as stipulated in the FIFA disciplinary code," the group announced in a statement after an investigation. Although rules or goal-line officiating changes were considered as well, those won't occur for this year's event.

I think that's the best call. Punishment at this point would be like fining a player for holding in a game that took place two months ago.

A punishment was never gonna happen. The ensuing Pandora's Box would've been wicked.
