Should Tiger get injured more?: He plays with a knee problem and wins. He comes back from the knee operation and wins. He pukes his guts out (est. 20-30 times) and wins by 11 strokes. Let the vomit jokes begin.

I would have to say that, facing similar circumstances, I would not be doing anything besides laying down (and, apparently, taking frequent porcelain cruises). That's some real dedication. This should also be extremely discouraging to the other golfers in the field: If puking up his socks doesn't stop Tiger, how are they supposed to?

Too bad his equipment is so inferior to Phil's. He had some pretty funny quotes about the whole thing. I like where he said it really wasn't too big a deal. Just like in college. "Boot and rally". He is a pleasure to watch, and there's nothing I like more than seeing him competing against only himself.

What's the last great regurgitation story in sports? How about Darren Droznov and preseason football? http://www.fortunecity.com/olympia/brucelee/713/view.html

Before every game, Hall of Fame hockey goaltender Glen Hall would get so nervous that he'd go and vomit in the washroom. Not a big deal? He played every minute of an NHL record 502 consecutive games.

Though i wish i rememberd the specifics, the the best show of throw up i've ever seen is Pete Sampras...It was a finals match in one of the grand slams versus some guy (descriptive, i know). Anyways, the match went the full length, 5th set, tie-breakers, all the goodies. In the last game of the math, Pete Sampras was literally leaning over after every single poing and just throwing up. Now, imagine being on the other side of the net, seeing this guy throw up after every point. Easy, of course? Well, of course not with Sampras as he continued to rifle shots past his foe left and right eventually winning the match. I'll always remember that along with, and though he wasn't sick, Jordan's game where he was visibly sick with the flu (game 6 vs. Knicks, i think), yet carried his team to victory and then that image of him barely able to stand at the end of the game as Scottie Pippen had to help him walk.

I remember watching both those matches, jmd! And remembering about the same amount of detail, too. Just goes to show: Nobody remembers a loser.

Just an FYI - It was Alex Corretja that Sampras beat in the 96 US Open quarters while heaving his guts out.

I remember watching the Eagles-Jaguars game from this past NFL season, seeing Donovan McNabb stepping back toward the end of the game and heaving behind his center. The announcers even made a comment like, "Nobody's gonna wanna catch that ball!"
