That Danton story is incredibly weird. Even the lawyer who represented Danton in the trial was a bad person for him to have in his life -- the guy wasn't licensed to practice law.

I know I turned the UFL game on when there was about a minute and a half left in an 18 point game, but that game looked like it was about as well attended as a high school girls basketball game. There may have been more people paid to be there than paid to be there. Not a good sign for the UFL.
Apparently this isn't an isolated incident either as attendance has been low at other venues too. I applaud the UFL for trying to play some games in teams secondary markets, but I question how well those games are going to be attended when the people in the primary markets haven't developed an affinity for the teams, how can they expect the secondary markets to have? You will have a few people who will pay to see the game, but the majority of people that will attend the games will want to have a vested interest in the teams, and so early in the league's development I don't see that being the case.

Odd little footnote to the Mike Danton story: Elliotte Friedman's dealings with him, described as "the strangest day of my professional existence".
