Tug Mcgraw was once asked if he preferred grass or astroturf, and he said, "I don't know, I've never smoked turf". Tug McGraw called his fastball the "Bo Derek" fastball because it had a little tail on it. Tug McGraw was once asked how he can pitch in such pressure situations. He said, "I go by the frozen ice-ball theory". What was that? "In ten million years the sun is going to go out and the earth will be a big frozen ice ball hurtling through space, and nobody will give a damn what Tug Mcgraw did with a baseball in the 20th century". Speedy recovery to one of the game's more colorful characters.
