Transfer Deal Reached to Send Peter Crouch to Tottenham: Portsmouth has reached a reported 10 million pound offer with Tottenham for Peter Crouch. The 28-year-old striker is expected to sign a five-year deal that reunites him with former boss Harry Redknapp.
Crouch was surprisingly good value for the money under Harry at Portsmouth, so I picked him this season (prior to this move) though I get your point. For my money Robinho should be the one to leave Eastlands--he is flash and fast but, as shown at the Confederations Cup, not nearly as dangerous in the offensive end as one would expect from his rep.
I just want to see Peter do the RoboCrouch celebration again, albeit not in the opening match.

Why is Peter Crouch like the Titanic?
It would have been better if they had never left Southampton in the first place.
/Liverpool joke circa 2004

Looks like Bent might be on his way to Sunderland. So that would clear up some playing time.

Looking ahead to fantasy, I do not think I will be buying any Tottenham (Pavlyuchenko, Bent, Defoe, Keane, Crouch) or Man City (Tevez, Bellamy, Adebayor, Robinho, Santa Cruz) forwards. Too much potential for a log-jam/rotation. I suppose there is a chance for sale amongst Pavlyuchenko and Bent on the Spurs side and maybe Bellamy on the Man City side, but that's an awful lot of strikers for each, and all of whom have some experience with more or less being "the" man with prior clubs.
