Japanese Marathoner Retires at Age 81: Japanese marathon runner Keizo Yamada, who represented his country at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki and won the 1953 Boston Marathon, is retiring from the sport. "I'm not getting any younger," he said. Yamada, shown here in 2009, ran the Boston event every year from 1995 to 2009.
There's a 60 year old Japanese man that ran a 2:36:30 marathon. It's hard to describe how impressive that is... kind of like your grandfather running a 4:30 mile. The running culture in Japan is amazing.
