Semi-related recent blog post: Finishing a game without facing a batter. That's been done 137 times since 1954. While not as rare, there are some fun cases in the post.

I know Dennys Reyes had a similar sort of anomaly with the Twins a year or two ago, when he threw a complete inning while only throwing one pitch, i.e. first pitch resulted in a triple-play. I don't know if that had happened before or not.

That is awesome. I love strange baseball events.

The last guy to do it before Embree was BJ Ryan of Toronto.
The Jays just released Ryan today. Weird coincidence.

I don't remember this happening to the Tigers back in 2003, but that is a season that I've mostly blocked from my memory.
Cool stuff here.

I'm surprised only one pitcher did it against the tigers in 2003.

As a mere casual fan of baseball, I'm even more bemused that this isn't the first time this has happened.
