LIVE: Liverpool v Auxerre, UEFA Cup fourth round, 2nd leg (805pm GMT/305pm EST).: Liverpool host French team Auxerre, and carry a 1-0 advantage from the first leg. Winner moves into the quarterfinals, which could be Liverpool v Celtic, if Liverpool win today, and Celtic doesn't blow a 3-1 lead. If Liverpool get knocked out of the UEFA Cup tonight, they have a chance to qualify for next years tourney by beating Man Utd in the Worthington Cup final this Sunday.

I know, I know, I know. Enough already. So who would you put in there? OK, I could see Hamann in for Murphy, and Baros for Heskey. What about Carragher? Diao? Would you drop Riise back? I don't think so. I'm pleased to see they're using him as a winger/attacking midfielder instead of sticking him in defense.

Riise does just as well playing in the back... He still comes up on the wing causing other teams havoc. Hamann for Murphy obviously. Biscan for Carragher, and Baros for Heskey. Hey worldcup, are you on Yahoo right now?

What's so great about Biscan? Isn't he another overrated young player who, unlike Baros, hasn't lost enough weight or shown enough fight?

Well, that BBC coverage slipped under the radar (heh). But still better than watching Glendenning at the Guardian nattering on about his bloody computer freezing up. Don't they have any new machines at that place? Every game involves their machine freezing up. What are they using? Windows BOB?

Uh...MANU will lose... Liverpool 3 Man United 0 Anyway, playing with 10 men without Carragher would be an improvement. I'm not saying Biscan is great, its just that Carragher is that bad...

Well, after a victorious bout in Euro competition, we can settle down to a nice weekend beating Man Utd in yet another championship competition. Yawn, it's so nice to be up among the elite.

I'll be at the game in the sense that I'll be in the pub watching it on Sky, though it does sound like Blues fans will be here, there and every fecking where in Villa Park. Apparently Villa are contemplating putting the words to some of their songs, complete with bouncing ball to highlight the words, on the big screens in the ground in order to encourage their supporters to sing. BigCalm old chap, as Squealy says, it appears that Villa have been a trifle lax with the ticketing and many more Blues fans will be in the ground than there should be. Unfortunately I won't be one of them, I will be watching on sky. As for the scouse gits on here, I suppose I have been a bit churlish and it doesn't become me.
