I think after NASCAR, the NBA is the sports body I'd be least shocked to discover was fixed...and I mean outside of the Donaghy scandal. Call me cynical...

Another view.

Officials consistently inconsistent in the NBA

Denver columnist and an anonymous Denver player--no axe to grind there, eh? And the title makes it seem like the Lakers paid $50k to someone to throw the game, slanting the reader perspective even more going in. Heck, there was a comment about Barcelona in another thread about how their coach got the refs on his side with a single comment from the technical area. Coaches and players try to game refs constantly, hardly corruption.

Yeah - that's a bit slanted. The quote reads to me like more of a comment on the quality and consistency of officiating rather than being literal.

But, Kobe vs. Lebron? I do want that to happen. With integrity, of course.

Worst. Headline. Evar.

Bitch, please!

My wife and I laughed all the way through that bit. I have no idea why, but at least now I know we weren't alone.

Trust me Fraze, you two are most definately not alone.

Just a classic line! Thanks for the laugh.

And it is a horrible title for a post.

And it is a horrible title for a post.

It's the headline for Kizla's column. I think it's BS homer muckraking but I thought we weren't supposed to editorialize in the FPP.

And it is a horrible title for a post.

No more horrible than "China's Yao Ming linked with a move to Cleveland Cavaliers," which really means "Some Chinese dude on a message board thinks it would be !!!OMG TRIPLE AWESOME!!! if Yao Ming got to play with Bron-Bron."

I wonder how much Kiszla thinks game 6 cost?

posted by cjets at 12:56 AM on May 30, 2009

Wow, really? After all the previous game in which the LAKERS were getting called for everything? BS. lol. This is simply dumb. Had to be from the denver post. Man, step your game up Denver. I think they have gone postal since they still can't believe Cutler is a bear. Haha.
