Six.: - overtimes, before the Big East tournament game between Syracuse and Connecticut could be decided. Not quite the longest game in NCAA history (seven OTs), but certainly close.

I caught wind of this game quite late from my Facebook feed, and only caught the last OT. Anyone catch the whole marathon?

I did and I had to be at work at 4am this morning but it was so worth it to wactch this classic! 6 OT's? I was like, "Is this game ever going to end?" It was like two heavyweight champions going at it back & forth and the one that was less exhausted, won.

I only saw the last few seconds of regulation and the OTs, but damn that was an awesome game. Syracuse nearly won it in regulation with a buzzer-beater, but was 0.1-seconds too late.

The freakiest stat from the OTs: Syracuse did not lead once in OT until the 6th OT.

The real winner last night: West Virginia. Syracuse has now played 5 1/2 halves of basketball in the last 2 games, and they aren't particularly deep to begin with. Will they have anything left for tongiht?

Being retired and not having to get up early has its benefits. I saw most of the second half and all 6 OTs. When I say "saw", I mean that whenever anything good was happening, I looked up from my book. It was an intense game. I appreciate the way the officials made absolutely sure of the call on the shot at the end of regulation. UConn seemed to have chance after chance to put Syracuse away, but just couldn't do it. You could see the handwriting on the wall as soon as Thabeet fouled out.

I completely missed this and only heard about it this morning. That's astounding. I understand when this happens in hockey beacuse it's hard to score goals. But basketball?

Make it seven OTs in two days, and moving on to the Big East championship game. Wow. They didn't even look tired until the very end, playing West Virginia tonight.
