On The Road Again: Because winter can last until May in northern Maine, Presque Isle routinely plays its entire season on the road. With their campus 400 miles north of Boston, the Owls have not played a home baseball game since 2005, when there were two.
April 2nd, Mr.T. I hope you can make it. Take photos.

It's on my calendar. If there's anyone else in the southern NH area that wants to make it and can take an afternoon off, let me know. We can partake of a few malt beverages after the game. Thanks for the schedule.

Bo, you've posted an article on a topic that hits home with me. Here in New Hampshire the high school baseball season starts around April 1. Even here in southern NH, some of the schools can't get onto the field until mid-March or later. I'ts even worse up north around the White Mountains or "north of the notches". You wouldn't believe the number of games that are postponed early in the season due to an unplayable field. Like all hardy New Englanders, we just make do. UMPI has it a lot worse than most, but in the true self-reliant spirit, they do what they can. If Daniel Webster College here in Nashua has them for a home game, I'll try to get out to see it.
