OK worldcup2002, I'll be the first. Blues vs the other Blues Oh btw, I watched the Arsenal and the Manchester games down the pub. Great entertainment, you shouldn't be deceived by the fact they both ended in draws. Contrast that with the dull 3-0 victories of Liverpool and Viler last weekend which were truly dire in terms of entertainment.

Another Blues report, this one written by a highly gifted, enthusiastic, partisan, but fair minded amateur. If I am allowed to cooment on things other than Blues, Arsenal proved themselves to be distinctly unlovely again. Cole is just about the most irritating shit in the world game and continues to demonstate an ability to be sent crashing to the ground by nothing other than a gust of wind. Bergkamp is very sour and humourless. I hope Man U catch them.

Can't help but agree to an extent about Arsenal. Ashley Cole is a diving cheat despite all his outraged protestations to the contrary. He's had at least two players sent off this season who on appeal had the red cards rescinded. Bergkamp however is a footballing genius. He may not spend the entire game grinning like a fool a la Dwight Yorke and may have his nasty side, but he's the kind of player I love to watch. His vision, control, passing and finishing ability are second to none. As for Man U, all I can say is ANYONE but United (and Viler of course).

Team of the week and Goal of the week (Fulham's Jon Harley hits a swerving 35-yard volley winner that beats Enckelman and Villa).

Ron Atkinson agrees with me that Liverpool and Michael Owen need wingers and aggressive attacking midfielders like Steve McManaman.

Oh, and here's the Premiership table so 86 can see how close Liverpool is to pushing Everton out of the way. btw, congrats to Everton's Wayne Rooney: He'll be the youngest England international ever, breaking a 123-year-old record, when they play Australia this Wednesday.

Squealy old chap, agree completely regarding Bergkamps ability, but he has a very nasty and sly streak within him. This marks him out as a cheat, just like Cole. OK there is no need to grin like an idiot the whole time, but if I had his talent I think I would at least look like I was enjoying myself.

Can Charlton sneak into Europe? They seem to have climbed the table very quietly, but now look set to challenge for a European place.

Hey, Blackburn ended an eight-match win-less streak with a 1-0 victory over Southampton. Yea!

A weekend of 1-1 draws for the top of the table teams, Arsenal v Newcastle, Man U v Man City, and, ahem, Liverpool v Middlesborough, as well as relegation contenders, West Brom v Bolton. ZZZZZZZ. Saturday and Sunday results, match reports, match stats and text commentaries. Everton celebrated the new addition to their fan club by losing 2-1 to Charlton. Everton is now separated from city rivals Liverpool, one place behind them, by only two points.
