Boatmen lose all-time great: Considered by some to be the greatest Toronto Argonaut ever as well as the greatest player of his era. The nickname said it all.

Joe Krol, known as King, was the supreme ruler of the Toronto sports world more than half a century ago when he passed, ran and kicked the Toronto Argonauts to five Grey Cups.

Hopefully, this puts the cap on a year that was marred by the passing of a number of CFL legends. Joe Krol was definitely one of the indisputable greats to ever play the Canadian game.
