Isiah Thomas, Media-Savvy As Always: Savvy politicians and public officials typically release bad news to the press on a Friday afternoon, assuming the press will be tired of the story by Monday and the public won't remember. Isiah Thomas was notoriously toxic toward the press as coach and general manager of the Knicks. But the guy sure knows the right time to overdose on sleeping pills

It boggles my mind that Isiah thinks he has enough credibility with the average person to go against a police chief's report of what happened.

The man lives inside a bubble; unfortunately for the rest of us, it's neither soundproof nor airtight.

Isaiah needs to be totally gone from the public eye. He carries an evil energy field around with him that sucks in people around him whether they like it or not.

He is still on salary at MSG. That's their problem. I just don't want to hear any more about Isaiah. We've got other things that need our attention more than keeping track of his twisted trail.

Double bunk him with Amy Winehouse in the vice-president's underground fortress, and don't let us know which one of them wins the game.

When emergency services showed up, they confused a 17-year-old girl with a 47-year-old man.

Poor girl, maybe she does look like a 47-year old male. And when the medics arrived they said they were going to take him/her to rehab and he/she said "No, No, No."

Bo, to avoid confusion, why not post the entire quote?

If you believe Isiah Thomas: His daughter passed out at school Thursday afternoon, and a 911 call was made about thirteen hours later. When emergency services showed up, they confused a 17-year-old girl with a 47-year-old man. And then, just to be dicks, covered up their lie by repeating it to every media outlet.

Who's confused, BI? You? I was joking.

Well...yeah. I honestly wasn't sure if you were joking or not.

This weekend I surfed past some inspiring movie about a single mother working hard and raising a success, except the success was Isiah Thomas. The whole movie played completely different now than when it was probably made. He is really doing a fantastic job of destroying his legacy.

Right on, BI. For future reference, anytime I include lyrics performed by Amy Winehouse, the entire comment should not be taken seriously.

In all fairness, it has to be said, Isaiah's mother did indeed get her son though the gauntlet of street life and on the right road. Sometimes with a firearm on hand for enforcement purposes if I remember correctly.

The thing I keep wondering is this. Isaiah was one of the very first players to leave the Indiana program early for the NBA. I think he only did two years at IU.

If Isaiah had gone a full four years with Coach Knight, would he have become more of a man or even more of a lunatic than he is already?

I understand completely as to why people consider Isiah to be a nut case but before any of these scenerios came up while he was with the Knicks, Isiah was looked upon as a well soft-spoken, intelligent, basketball mind and one of the greatest point gaurds to ever play the position.

I don't believe that Isiah staying another 2 years in Indiana under Coach Knight would have deterred this situation from happening in the long run considering that no one actually saw this coming.

Isiah being an arrogant, get his by any means necessary prick was always in him, we're just paying more attention to it now.

With a weekend of football and the World Series too, superb timing.
