Kevin Duckworth, ex-Trailblazer, Dead at 44.: I'll be the last to say I liked him as a player, but it's still sad to see anyone stricken down at such a young age...

I'll always like Duckworth for saying he was going to retire to be a "worm farmer". A lesser person might point out . . . you get it.

Between this and Wayman Tisdale's health woes, it's been a sad week for '80s basketballers.
Duckworth's family was hit really hard by heart troubles. His mother told the Chicago Tribune that a younger sister, both brothers and his father also died of congestive heart failure.
