Shit...i'll be watching the game tonight at 7 at my local pub...so i won't be checking the scores today... I have a few bets going... I bet a friend that Dudek will keep a clean sheet.. I get three pints if he does...but, he gets a pint for every goal Arsenal scores...

C'mon, SF. You know you want to see it live ... That way, you can leave work knowing that the three pints are yours. Go Reds!

Gosh, Glendenning has started badmouthing the 'Pool already. And the game is still 15 minutes away. "Wingerless hoofathon." Well, I guess that does just about say it all. I, in my eternal fan optimism, hope that Liverpool will prove him wrong, and that all the badmouthing will be about Seaman's bad hairstyle and flailing arms. Hahahaha.

Oh dear, looks like Bergkamp's a bit too good at passing for Liverpool

Our defense is a little too good at getting caught out. Looks like the only good thing that may come out of this game is the points I'll get from having Bergkamp in my fantasy team.

Hey, Calmy! Are Liverpool: a. Hoofing it up the park b. Chasing Arsenal's shadows c. Trying to at least play some constructive football d. all of the above e. none of the above?

This is a cracking game! Both teams are playing fantastic football. Liverpool's play is all centering around Gerrard, with quite a big of long ball hoofage, and Arsenal are all silky skills and electrifying pace. a) Yes (of course - it's Liverpool) b) They're catching all of them except for Thierry Henry, who is looking very very scary. c,d,e) Yes, Michael Owen's had a couple of decent chances, and Heskey came close too. Liverpool are playing very well, but Arsenal were awesome for most of the half.

Damn, that's not reassuring. We must score! Potshots at Seaman, then!

1-1! Blaster from Riise.

Despite Liverpool dominating the half so far, Bergkamp manages to fluke a lucky goal. 2-1.

And it ends 2-2 with a Heskey goal. Lucky old Liverpool - they didn't really deserve it, but they've got a point.

Great game. Liverpool got a little lucky, but so did Arsenal (with Bergkamp's goal), and it was entertaining to say the least. In the first half, the Gunners looked untouchable. Pires, Henry and Bergkamp owning the Reds' back 4. Random notes - Heskey had a good game. - Henry ran by Carragher like he was moving backwards - Liverpool were at least *trying* to push it wide, but they didn't really get any good crosses in from the wing. (until the end of the game, of course)

btw, did anyone see Gudjonson's goal yesterday? Wow.

I saw Gudjohnsen's goal...it was pretty fucking amazing...it came out of nowhere too....we were sitting in the bar watching...it looked like a tame cross from Lampard...then...BLAMMO!! Very nice indeed... So i avoided knowing the score of the Liverpool/Arsenal game all day...i got to the bar and the TV was off, there were already some Liverpool fans waiting for the game to start but didn't want to know the score either... There were about 15 people there watching the game... About halfway through the first half, some idiot in a baseball cap walked up to the TV like he was going to change the channel....jeez, we almost lynched his ass! The greatest thing about watching the game last night...besides Riise scoring again and Dudek having a superstar game...was whenever there was a goal or some kind of action and all the soccer fans would stand up or yell like mad...all the other people in the bar would look over and wonder what the hell the yelling was about...and then start to watch...i think we got a few more soccer fans after last night...

Yes StarFucker, but didn't Heskey have a great game. ;-) I feel sorry for you poor people, having to skulk around avoiding scores and then having people trying to change channel on you. It's almost like the love that dare not speak it's name. But not quite. Keep up the good work converting your compatriots.

"It's almost like the love that dare not speak it's name. But not quite." Uh...okay. Heskey did allright...I will admit this as he actually had an effect on this game...unlike his usual falling over strategy...

Had an effect on this game? He was Man of the Match (ask squealy), set up Riise and scored the tying goal that gave Liverpool a point. Hahahaha. btw, sorry you had to buy your friend the pints. At least Dudek did well. Those two goals he really could do nothing about. That defense really needs to tighten up.
