Kirkland is out for the season...now maybe Liverpool will win!: Jerzy Dudek is back between the sticks! Kirkland was hit hard and has some serious damage to his knee. Now if Gerard Houllier can drop Heskey, Murphy and Carragher...Liverpool can get their winning ways back and climb their way back up the table!! Arsenal should start worrying now.

Hey who bloody decided the Man U v Birmingham game should be played next week instead of tomorrow? That's going to cost me some points, dammit!

Stop arguing with yourself wc2k2!!! AND, didn't you miss the main story?? Manchester United will play Arsenal in the 5th round of the FA cup!! Or, Leeds (probably) against Liverpool (probably) too.

worldcup2002 - I fink Man Utd requested a change of date for some reason. Don't be so sure they'll beat the Battling Blues anyway ;-) starfucker - I can only assume you are being sarcastic. Kirkland is the best keeper Liverpool have and will be a major loss. As for challenging Arsenal, don't make me laugh.

Tell me that YOU are only kidding squealy...Kirkland the best goalkeeper? Were you born just a couple months ago?! Squealy, you probably think that Heskey is the best striker Liverpool have too! And that Murphy is the best midfielder...and Carragher is the best defender.... With Dudek they were second in the table last year boys...and now its time to go back towards the top.

We will beat Arsenal. Handily! And they'll switch goalkeepers because of it. Hahahahaha! Heskey will lob Seaman from the halfway line. Riise will score directly from a corner kick. Hamann will welly a free right over Seaman's flailing arms. Hahahahahaha! Hohohohohoho!

And BC: Arsenal v Man U, who cares? Is Liverpool in it? And Liverpool v Leeds, huh? If we beat Crystal Palace, then I'll think about it. And we should make it past Leeds, anyway. I mean, how many players do they have left? The keeper and some groundsmen? I hear they're going to have the fish-and-chips man play in midfield. They may throw the water boy into defense, too. Oh, wait a minute, Venables sold him for five quid and a bottle of bronzer. Woohoohoohoo!

We will beat Arsenal. Handily! Don't you mean: We will beat Arsenal. Hardly! I'm taking the afternoon off tomorrow to watch the game at my local soccer pub.

No starfucker I was born a long while ago despite all appearances. Kirkland will be England keeper within a couple of years if he recovers, or else it'll be Robinson. Heskey is a wanker. Murphy is a decent midfielder in the midst of a bad run. Carragher is an average Premiership defender but not where the fault lies at Liverpool, though I'm at a loss to explain where it does lie. Maybe it's a matter of attitude. Leeds will be tough opponents, as they always are. They had a tough time against Chelsea tonight and were probably lucky to only lose 3-2. Liverpool are no Chelsea though. I'm afraid second in the table is pipe dream land. And Arsenal will win tomorrow. And yes, Go Gunners. ABU.

My only advice for Liverpool: Kick 'em at Seaman. Early. Often. And high. Seaman for Prime Minister! Hahahahaha.

The next few weeks will be very tough for Arsenal - they play Liverpool at Anfield, Newcastle at St. James Park, and Man U at Old Trafford (in the fa cup). If Arsenal come through the next 2-3 weeks, and they're still top of the premiership at the end of it, and in the fa cup too, there is little that anyone can do to prevent them winning almost every competition they're in.

Heskey awarded MOTM by Sky TV (though it really should have gone to Henri for his performance in the first half). Heskey sets up first Liverpool goal and scores the second. I hang my head in shame. He's still crap though. ;-)

DUDEK! Jeez, and you say you are a Liverpool fan?!
posted by StarFucker at 10:00 AM on January 30, 2003
I want Liverpool to win as badly as you do, but gloating over someone who got injured because they made a very brave save is, well, not very nice. Dudek didn't seem to skip a beat, but he's not going to be scoring the goals. So, I'd be more concerned about getting more width and better service for the strikers.
