G-O-D : God in sports

Some people like to compare the sport they follow is like a cult a following that they attend every Sunday without fail we see this a lot in communities across the world where sport is the saviour and those that grace the fields of dreams wether they be made of grass, mud, ice or hardwood are seen as the true GODS of thier sport. Yet it is not for us to bring up the Lord during a half time speech or to 'bless' our out going seniors, or pray for our injuried players to return to good health. I understand that we all are a multi cultural world of different visions on what we see as godly I yet I don't kick up a stink when there are special praying rooms for muslim taxi drivers at thier work place, or when I here of someone being abused at school for being a monk, well why don't I start complaining about not being able to help my fellow athletes and join and pray for the up and coming season. Explain why we can pray when we run in a touchdown, or we can thank god when we win an oscar yet I can hold my head low and pray with my team.
