CFL Pick 'Em, Week 19: Last week of the season + a mathematical clinch of a share of first place + a couple of non-meaningless games on the slate = make your picks inside.

Do you know that Montreal has a convention named after it? Winnipeg by 7. The convention that covers international civil aviation. Toronto by 11. I know, because I've just been to a conference about it. Edmonton by 15. I now know that for the last few years I've been risking my life everytime I get on a plane in this part of the world. BC by 9. Thanks, Montreal.

The You Pee? The Upper Peninsula? That's what I get for making a joke based on your profile.

I thought that was what you were going for, but if I was a youpper I'd be rooting for the Packers.

Golly, this is a tough week ... too many "up in the air" intangibles with playoffs looming next week. With that in mind ... Winnie needs to win this game, otherwise they're assured of seein' the Als next week again. So this one has got to be for real ... Bombers by 9. Riders are hosting the Stamps next week and that one has to be the game they're focused on. Toronto wins, they clinch first and the bye. Argos by 10. Ah, the toilet bowl game ... means nothing to either team, other than this little word that used to prop up the once-mighty Eskimos--PRIDE. Here's hoping that they actually still have some ... EE by 11. First place is already clinched ... momentum for next week's matchup versus the Riders required ... the Stamps could look pretty scary in this one. Calgary by 3. Part of me would like to see the Riders and Argos tie on Saturday ... with a Bomber win, that'd be a points tie for first in the east. With all the ties this season, that "could" be a possibility ... but rather than pick it in hopes of making up some much needed ground, I'll stick with my predictions as they are. Just wanted to be on record in case it does happen (in this wonky CFL ... anything can happen)

One more thing "for the record" ... just wanted to say thanks again to DJE for doin' this for us ... and to all of you who play along ... as sad as this might sound, it's one thing I look forward to each week. Vive le CFL! (Anyone takin' in the Grey Cup in Toronto? ... I'll be there!). Enjoy as the '07 season comes to a close! Cheers!

Winnipeg by 7 Toronto by 22 I was going to do the "pick what I don't want to happen" for Toronto again, but honestly, Kerry Joseph is only going to break a sweat in this game if his ex-girlfriend is sitting in the front row. Hamilton by 12 Calgary by 16 Spitz, I won't be at the game, but I'll be taking in some of the festivities (since I live here and all). We should look into having a SpoFi meet-up thenabouts: get all the Toronto SpoFites together on the Thursday night, maybe, and sit at a bar and make fun of the Leafs.

B.C. takes the spit and polish to its playoff posture, cliching yet another bye to the West Division finals. Saskatchewan puts Edmonton out of its misery. Toronto depends once again entirely upon defence and special teams to win another lacklustre nailbiter. And Montreal, with no Calvillo and playing for nothing but momentum, hangs on for a healthy one-point win over Calgary.
