CFL Pick 'Em, Week 13: Apparently all the close games had a bye week last week. Maybe they'll come back this week? Insert Casey Printers joke here. Make your picks inside.

Ladies and gentlemen, your average margin of victory this week was 26. Good game, good game.

Everyone who picked big did well. The rest of us did not. The exception was MrFrisby, steady as always with four winners for four points.

I am seriously tempted to offer a one-point bonus to anyone who picks all four spreads at 1. But no! I cannot taint the standings! WEEK 13 Calgary @ Hamilton (Friday, September 21) Calgary's hopin' to keep some of that magic from last year, while Casey Printers is lookin' to find some of that magic from 2005. B.C. @ Saskatchewan (Saturday, September 22) This is a four-point game that could determine the top seed in the West. Both teams bring everything they've got. Except for B.C., which brings everything except its first- and second-string quarterbacks. As usual. Edmonton @ Montreal (Sunday, September 23) If Edmonton sweeps this two-game set, will the Week 14 standings put the playoff race in a different light? Probably not. Winnipeg @ Toronto (Sunday, September 23) This is probably a game that Toronto has to win if they have any interest in, you know, the playoffs. Good luck!

There's an Australian band called Weddings, Parties, Anything. Calgary by 15. They are a bit like The Pogues. BC by 5. One of their songs is about being stuck on a Saturday night in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Montreal by 12. And dancing to Whitney Houston. Toronto by 7. I don't know, you work it out.

Goodness, me!?!? Looks like I'm gonna be pickin' against those SportSelect gurus three outta the four games this week. Will it pay off? I guess only time will tell. Just as the tide comes in and goes back out, so too will the Stamps little win streak. DJE, I'm with you this week. I'll take the Tabbies in a squeaker. Hamilton by 2. The Riders need this one as much for morale as for their spot in the standings. I'll take Saskatchewan convincingly over BC by 10. Jason Tucker's return has meant Ricky Ray has his go-to-guy back at his disposal. That's the combo that trumped the Als in two Grey Cups. I think they're gonna roll with it, regardless of whether Calvillo plays or not. Edmonton by 7. And, to make the crossover possibility for the EE even that much more realistic, I think the Bombers will return to championship form, even with Stegall watchin' from the sidelines. Winnipeg by 12.

Another one point week. My picks must be the kiss of death.

Damn. Picking the same teams as you was not a good idea.

apoch, DJE was clear about not giving the bonus point for picking every game by a single ... but you'll have a symbolic point in my books for givin' it a whirl ... for whatever that's worth.

Spitz, I knew when I made the picks that he wasn't going to give me a point, but I mean really, what do I have to lose at this point?

The respect of your peers, your dignity, and all those Celine Dion CDs.

Well, if I had any of those three, I might have been worried about it.

I've got The William Porters by 16. Well at least you didn't nail the spread. Damn you and that Brett motherfucking Favre! I'm never letting trash talk spill over across leagues again.

Well I did warn you about the power of the fully functional Brett Farve.

'kay, if this thread is going to continue to blur the boundaries of the CFL and NFL, I have to ask ... how ugly are those Eagles retro jerseys??? OMFG! but lucky as all heck. on that note, has anyone been following the fallout from Damon Allen's response to McNabb's comments?

has anyone been following the fallout from Damon Allen's response to McNabb's comments? No, because we're Americans, and that would require us to acknowledge Canada.
