Spofi EPL fantasy footie: Week 4 results. A new leader at the top and significant swings most everywhere else. But it's early doors (as Ron Atkinson says).

mdb1 is solidly on top in terms of the last three weeks' form. Three consecutive top 5 finishes will do that. The next best is two top 5 placings (Ball Booters, Ardley Athletic, jellyfish-in-trifle, Red Dragons or the other folks at the top of the form table, as you might imagine).

Moved up 9 places*. Yeah! * But still no colour. Doesn't matter - I plan on winning this incognito.

I'd worry about team value, so you can buy your way out of trouble down the road. said the team falling like a rock. Ladyboy better bring it when he gets back. And an inspired captaincy selection would be a nice change of pace.

Yeah, I've yet to pick the right captain all four weeks. Even Sir Alex has a better record than me now. LOL.

Sir Alex was looking nervous yesterday. I haven't seen him chew that vigorously in a while.

Spurs had Man U by the balls several times yesterday - but, once again, not enough killer instinct. Berbatov comes close, but the rest of them need to step up.

w00t! And now I have to go away for about 2 weeks...

posted by mbd1 at 09:51 AM on August 27, 2007

How slick was Berbatov's shot from the ground after rolling over between Van Der Sars legs .... too bad it didn't go in. If anyone ever deserved a goal, it was that one.

Nice dive by Wes Brown to save that. Although, I must say, he managed to do it without using his hands.

The phrase 'dropping like a rock' comes to mind from my choices this season so far. Argggghhhh!

Week 5 is shaping up nicely. Viva El Nino!

Sounds like someone put Senor Torres in a position of prominence.

posted by chicobangs at 06:00 PM on September 01, 2007

A Derby fan with Torres in his team. I'm not sure what kind of a weekend I'm having.

posted by owlhouse at 06:48 PM on September 01, 2007

I finally get my captain selection right. And, having it be Torres when Liverpool go 6-0 on Derby and take the top spot, plus Chelsea getting stuffed 2-0 today ... well, all it would've taken was Man U losing yesterday to make it a perfect weekend.

Just in case you missed it, Liverpool's six.

I was surprised at just how happy I was for Villa when the final whistle blew this morning. Shevchenko must be in incredibly bad form to be the fourth choice striker these days. And somebody needs to explain to me how Saloman Kalou is getting all these minutes as he's yet to do anything in a game I've seen except shoot wide and/or high.

I wonder if Mourinho regrets selling Robben.
