I thought Davydenko would be gone by now. This is record-breaking for him.

TCS, you have to remove all the line breaks in your table to get rid of the gap. So your table's html code has to appear all on one line. There are tools which will do this for you.

So if the code's readable, the output won't be. Got it! ;-)

Weird. When I entered the code for my original table into that tool and did the thing with the thing and repasted back here, I still had the huge gap, but I can copy and paste bperk's table's code, which looks identical, and it works (I also get the random , but it's much better than that huge gap). Whatever, at least we got rid of that gap. Thanks for the help, Doc. I really appreciate it. (Oh, and by the way, Gonzalez's loss today virtually eliminates me from contention on the mens' side. Again.)

I manually took out all the br codes as well. I probably missed something and that's where the random </ came from.

Blake lost, too.

Goddamn American men! Seriously, I can't believe that Blake was eliminated ahead of that half-stepper Roddick.

Goddamn bum Mauresmo! Goddamn rain!

The rain is crazy. Then they won't play on Sunday to try to catch up. What is wrong with Mauresmo? She looked great for most of the first set, and then it all went to hell.

Yeah, well, that's what you get for so joyfully posting of my early demise. In technicolor no less.

hmm, looks like the best case scenario for me on the men's side is to have Djokovic win it all. Preferably over some unranked no-name. Go Novak, go!!

After the conclusion of the second round, everybody's still got an intact team and a perfect score of 20 on both men's and women's sides...so I won't post details since you already know what they are. Let's see what happens in the third round. Not much like the French, is it?
