Updated Grand Slam fantasy standings after round four : rien a faire!

I like this game. With all the Americans gone, I wouldn't have much rooting interest in the matches without it.

Lordy, this *is* getting interesting. I'm feeling a bit relieved that Henin took care of Serena pretty easily. However, I'm feeling pretty bad about my odds banking on Canas upsetting Davydenko (Nikolay's up 6-5 in the first set as I type this). Plus Kuznetsova got upset this morning. Piss! Are we doing seperate Men's and Women's 'trophies' for this or is it a combined score?

I was going to do separate men's and women's trophies. What do y'all think? (I was also looking for a good image of the French Open trophy to photoshop, but I couldn't find one -- if anyone stumbles across one, kick it my way pleez?) Injuries...there's not a lot of time until Wimbledon, and Mauresmo and Venus both had injury issues (and who knows what's going to happen with Sharapova's shoulder). We could all be diggin' into the reserves for the grass season.

Overall, we did a pretty lousy job with the women's draw. Much better with the men, but nobody is going to have the final four. Let's try to do a little better at Wimbledon, huh? (You hear me, Roddick?!?) On edit: I have Serena out, but I did not adjust points for quarterfinal play. Just FYI.

Thanks for that. I was wondering how to get our original posting over here before we fell off the page. Looks like I have to root against Djokovic and Canas today. It also looks like Mr. Crafty is going to win the woman's trophy.

Ooh, I like that chart! Thanks for doing it, Sousepaw! I can't believe it. When the boys of the red white and blue dropped their dicks in the dirt (my brother's expression, not mine), I thought my women's side would end up being the four semifinalists, and now I'm down to one. Oh well, there's a chance I won't be dead last in both categories!

LBB, I emailed you a link of a pretty high resolution photo of Andre kissing the trophy. I think you can photoshop him out of the shot. Let me know if you don't get it for some reason, and I'll just post the link in the thread.

Sweet! I go camping for the weekend and come back to see that im winning in the women's category. Yay. Not so much about the men's though. Yes I would think it best to have separate trophies for each category. Not saying that because I am winning in the womens category.

Not a huge number of changes personnel-wise -- Llllllleyton Hewitt got dropped by Nadal, but otherwise everyone advanced. On the men's side, Ufez is widening his already embarrassing lead, while telemarketersbeware is hanging on to the lead in the women's by a slim margin. Now is when things get real interesting!
