"what dose this has to do with not a thing just trying to reach my 15 14 to go":
I think this is the first example of the downside of our "minimum comments before posting" rule.

I vote for a friendly reminder that the posts need to be non-deleted and then deleting this gem from this mouth-breather. That should get the message across. Oh, who am I kidding. Release the banhammer!

Having forfeited my right to post, this really ticks me off. I have been showing great restraint from posting-just-to-post so I can get to my 15 with the new moniker. And some great FPP's remain absent as a result. Well, okay, decent FPP's. But some of them are baseball related, and we haven't really had one of those in a while. At least it feels that way. Really, my feeling on this is hey nonny nonny. I think it's a no-brainer to delete that post, but watching for other fluff entries from the same user is pretty pointless. Ultimately, the person is going to prove either decent or banable. Bannable. Banalable. Whatever. Maybe the person has a really, really good post and is just dying to get it up and we will all love it and it will become our favorite all-time thread. In any case, I know it's not policy to kick people off just for being boring or fluffy for 15 consecutive comments, because I'm still around. Yeah, this person is being kind of a jerk by flaunting a chink in the policy, but I'm pretty sure this notion hasn't eluded any new members.

I like terrapin's approach. Remind him that they have to be non-deleted posts, and then delete it. Makes sense to me.

You know, BullPenPro wouldn't have complained about this stuff. Nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh.* Terrapin's answer is of course the right one, and really, if they don't have even the basic amount of class and savoire-faire to not trumpet their own personal countdown in each post, then we as a site are probably not losing the next Ring Lardner by cutting them loose. *Though I too am glad there is not yet such a thing as the Banalhammer.

Someone else is doing their own countdown too.

The perfect time to dust off your torches and pitchforks. Am I the only one who thinks that an appropriate punishment would be notifying him that his new goal is 50 nondeleted posts and his comments would be checked daily, and if deletions occured it'd add an extra five comments to his new total before he could post a link?
