Battered badly by last week, I picked up . . . well, I'll just come out and say it: I picked up Ronaldo. On the plus side, this means he will stop generating points for everyone else.

How is that mystery man JamesH, who has yet to make a transfer is leading in form? I'm so dejected.

I thought I had a good week. Even managed to catch the second half of Reading v Everton on TV when coming home via Bali. Team Middle Pocket will also be on autopilot for the next 3 weeks. I will be somewhere in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, so unless I'm near the Thai border and getting good TV reception, I don't expect to hear a lot.

Crappy fantasy week, but great otherwise. Liverpool thumps two past Chelsea. And Arsenal puts the brakes on Man U today. All hail King Henry.

I don't know how crappy the fantasy week was since I have Gerrard, v. Persie, Fabregas, and Henry.

ManU's defense played great for 83 minutes today--Arsenal did not have an offensive touch until the eigth minute--but slacked off from 84-91 and went for a nap the last four. Maybe SAF should hae subbed Evra after he took that hard knock but I think the key was the TV commentator pointing out that for all his scoring Henry still has less than 10 from headers when Van der Saar was untroubled by Thierry's first header. You know that always comes back later to be proven wrong. Sweet to see Pennant finally get a goal but I still think he isn't the answer on the wing and with Luis Garcia gone for the year Rafa better bring in another speed player.

I hate you, trox. That being said, the Arsenal v ManU match was a cracking one to watch. Some highlights for me (aside from the comeback and stealing the win at the last gasp): - How Arsenal maintained their composure a goal down, under pressure, and still continued to play and pass their way out of defense - The persistence of Fabregas and Rosicky to rob Scholes (I think) at the top of United's penalty box, from which Fabregas proceeded to calmly tap the ball on for Flamini to cross for the onrushing Henry's superb backheel and Van Persie's pinpoint finish. From scrappy to composed to sublime, all in one move. There was nothing rushed about it once they won the ball back. - Henry tackling back all the way to the touchline of his home third after they got the equalizer, making sure - Realizing most of the Arsenal team are in their early 20s (is Fabregas even 20? His steadiness in the absence of Gilberto has been exemplary) as they once again confidently and patiently built up their play against mighty United in time added on, when they might have sat back gratefully on the point saved.

woops, I meant for Rosicky (not Flamini) to cross.

Possibly the best football game of the day.

My front line is not a safe place to be: Andy Johnson left the game on a stretcher, Doyle is already out hurt and now RvP may be out for 6 weeks.

According to the BBC article, RVP broke a metatarsal while celebrating the goal. Sigh. Da yoots today need to learn that all you need by way of celebration is a quick handshake and a pat on the back.

My glory this week may be shortlived since v. Persie injured himself after the goal. He's been the one keeping me in the top 3 the last few weeks. Now it comes down to who I choose as his replacement (Kuyt, Adebayor?).

Oh, awesome final cross aside, Eboue is still a punk. Well played by Rooney today keeping his cool (and I never thought I'd say that)/
