I hate December.

Don't be a holiday suicide. Happy birthday to me ignoring the fact I got bested by a late arrival. Poor form, sir. It is interesting that *fucker has been first, middle, last over the past three weeks. Ok, maybe not "interesting", but it's notable. Because I noted it.

Something else to note is that the highest week score in the whole pool was this week, 128. And that team only joined last month and has a team value of 100.0. So that highest score ever was realistically within reach of anybody with a team value over 100.0 and a wildcard. Hindsight being 20/20.

And be thankful it's just a wafer, gspm. (Monty Python allusions absolutely intentional.) I, on the other hand, have to chomp on a thick rum-soaked 21-pt fruitcake in order to move up to the next rung. Merry Christmas, and to all, a good night.

I'm on 954. If I ever get to join, it's a three way battle for the lead!

C'mon, let salmy in. It's Christmas, fer baby Jesus's sake.

Oh God don't bring religion into it.. ;-)

Well it would be nice to keep the Brummie hegemony going. I know Salmacis is only an imitation Brummie, but sod it, it's close enough for us to claim him as one of our own!

My only (feeble, admittedly) reason to veto salmacis' inclusion is that I'm barely hanging in the top ten as it is, and the last thing I personally need is someone else who knows what the hell they're doing bringing our already impressive averages up into an unreachable stratosphere. But like Doctor Johnny Fever once said: what the hell, it's Christmas.

I just need a little luck and my forwards to start going net and closing in on the top two (three w/sal) is reachable. Still have the wildcard in hand too.

Two goals for Primus and two for Drogba, my captain. O joy of joys excelling.

Hey, where's the week 20 update, huh? I'm just saying, I think someone got a pretty big score this week.

1. update coming tomorrow. 2. I told salmacis to just post a link to his team so that I can grab all his old performance data and then I can integrate it into my existing spreadsheet....

I like December.

Is it just me or has this whole thing become more interesting since everybody got rid of Henry? There is now much more diversity in the teams which leads to a much greater fluctuation in the scores. It doesn't explain the sad demise of Squealy though!

Is it just me or has this whole thing become more interesting since everybody got rid of Henry? And now with Terry out for an undetermined length of time, only Lamps remains of the holy trinity, Fantasy Footie style. Let the transfers begin!

Indeed (and the fluctuation in scores -- except mine -- too)!

76! nice work. and not even your season high score. Lampard isn't even the king anymore. He lost top spot Ronaldo this week.

If I had Ronaldo ...

I used up my wildcard to get Ronaldo and it's paid off handsomely in the last two weeks. I'll probably regret using it so early in the season as injuries and suspensions bite though. I have no idea how to post a link to my team's profile.

salmacis, just email me the link (or even the four digit code that is in the URL of your team page, see my profile for my email). I tried to be industrious and lookup the leaders for Tottenham fans but you aren't quite that good.

Trox, by a wafer thin margin.
