Ashes Fantasy Contest - Second Test Results: Last day drama as England throw it away, but the SpoFites are keepin' it real. Details inside.
Very timely scoring there, owlhouse (even if it appears to be inverted or something *cough*). I'm lost for words with regard to the result to be honest, so I'll have to settle for quoting Boycs: "I was hoping it was going to be an early finish because England had batted well for a draw. But it looks like it's going to be an early finish because of a less funny reason. I'm so disheartened and disappointed. I need to get off air..."

God, that was actually painful to watch. The bit that summed it up for me was the look on Flintoff's face near the end when he had bowled five dot balls in a row and then Pieterson pointlessly overthrew for a frickin' seven. As for my score... well, er, that's pretty painful too.

Never mind the actual game, some silly sod has made a prodigious leap and deserves a bit of chuffing kudos!

Thanks, but I think Fat Buddha is referring to himself, who jumped 8 places! So, where do I get these chuffing kudos you deserve Mr. Buddha?

Take heart, folks. There are still 3 Tests to go. Fat Buddha moved up 8 places largely on the back of Paul Collingwood's double century. When some of the other players start to hit form, there will be volatility in the rankings. For example, Ponting can't possibly continue like this for the whole summer. If he does, he'll pass Don Bradman's 1930 record for total runs in a series sometime during the Melbourne Test.

What a debut by onyanellie - I like this comp. My team of stars are doing the job and once Freddie hits his straps will do even better. I think Ponting is in for a "ripper" series and will continue to pile on the runs - he is trying to win those Ashes back. But werent the aussie truly magnificent in Adelaide? Lets hope the Poms win the next one so that the Boxing Day test (which Im attending) isnt a dead rubber!
