Ping Pony Request: Would we be able to have SportsFilter ping Ping-o-Matic on updates? Would this benefit anybody else besides me?

I track my weblog reading with blo.gs, and SpoFi hasn't pinged since 2002. I was just thinking that pinging Ping-o-Matic via RPC might streamline the visiting process for people. Is there anybody else who would like this, or am I alone?

That's a good idea, and it might be built into pMachine, the new software we're moving to in the reasonably near future. If not, we'll look into some other solution. That's definitely needed.

"pMachine will 'ping' www.weblogs.com every time you submit an entry" and we can modify it to ping other URLs.
