Yahoo Fantasy Baseball League: Unless I missed it, this is the first standings update and trash-talking opportunity, with one fourth of the season to go.
There are about nine teams with a legitimate shot at winning, although anything can happen with players coming off or going on the DL. Elbow Tendinitis is the only team with all categories in double digits, but several categories are so tight that you can move up or down five points after a single day of games. So I gotta ask one you one question... who's going to win it?

I'd be happy moving into the top 5, since I've been pretty much stuck mid pack the whole season. Go Crackhouse Gang!

Oh dammit - I put this up one day too early. I somehow gained 9.5 points and took over first place. (I guess having Teixeira hit for the cycle and Peavy pitch a gem will do that.)

Watch out when the Brewers get hot.

I'm going to be tumbling out of the top 5 in about (checks calendar) 2 weeks. But I'm definitely looking to trade Marquis or Ortiz for some relief pitching (it doesn't have to be saves...just some quality inning potential in exchange for some win potential).

Hey Grum, you want Shawn Chacon? He's available, if anyone needs saves. He gets a lot of opportunities and his closer job is secure, but his stats aren't pretty. I'd like any kind of pitcher with a low ERA and WHIP.

Watch out when the Brewers get hot. That would be when the players have a fan cruise in the Caribbean in mid-January, right?

By the way, trades have to be completed by this weekend.

I (Elbow Tendenitis) think I'm going to win. So there. Nyah Nyah Nyah. Sure wish Jason Giambi wasn't so hurt though (I dumped him a month ago after a horrible stretch), that'd help me down the stretch.
