I don't know who Creative Punch is, please identify yourself. Also SpoFi admins, could we get a Fantasy catagory for locker room posts?

Quick note: I don't lead in HR. That's "Pedros Pummelers". I probably do hold the record for the biggest jump in the past two weeks: I went from dead last (89 points) to 9th. I feel pretty good for a team that was done through autodraft. My pitching is starting to warm up (after I finally caught on and realized having fantastic middle relievers won't do me squat in a pool with wins, IP, complete games and saves as scoring categories), but my hitting is strictly punch-and-judy right now. I think the big success is not in the initial draft, but grabbing players off waivers/FA at the right time. Loaiza, Choi, Meche, and Zambrano have helped me. By the way corpse, that is a kick ass table. That puts the fantasy-footy boys to shame.

Holy crap, corpse, it does. And you've let me go 36 flippin' weeks hand-coding such a mundane list? (I use Netscape) You should do that for us next season. Did you cut and paste that from the league page, or did you have to hand-code it in? Pray tell. Man, that is sweeeeeet. And by sweet, I mean: Totally awesome.

I just handcoded the table quickfast, did a search and replace to color the table cells. Updates will be easy, I'll just pull it up in Dreamweaver, move the names around and change the scores.

Sweet Jesus, I performing just as good as the Dodgers.

Man, the night after I made that big Delgado trade, I read on the sports page of my local newspaper the following headline: Blue Jays lose game, Delgado Turned out to be not serious, but had he still have been mine, I would have had about 4 heart attacks at that point.

Who do I have to give up to get Barry Zito?

posted by djacobs at 03:34 PM on April 25, 2003

and corpse! It's you who wants Payton?

posted by djacobs at 03:37 PM on April 25, 2003

Oh, now you want Zito, eh? What's the matter? Pedro ain't panning out for you!? :)

great chart, and i'm still waiting for vlad guererro to get hot.

posted by jbou at 11:38 PM on April 25, 2003

Yeah, I love the chart. I'm a little sad about the Yahoo's lag updating Dye to DL - I would've liked to have have kept a player I dropped, but I needed to pick up the Grabowsk-nik, who's going to tear up AL pitching. jade: clemens for zito?

and who is jmd82? Does he ever hang out here?

posted by djacobs at 03:52 PM on April 26, 2003

Clemens will always be a Red Sox pitcher at heart!

posted by djacobs at 07:44 PM on April 26, 2003

dj, don't you know you have to play hard to get?

posted by jbou at 02:08 AM on April 27, 2003

i had another descriptive noun picked out for Clemens actually.

posted by jerseygirl at 10:23 PM on April 27, 2003

I am ready to hear it.

posted by djacobs at 10:15 AM on April 28, 2003

corpse, when you previewed the table before posting was there a 2-3 inch gap of blank space above it? I tried to use a table for the MLS leagure report last week, but abandoned the idea because I didn't know how to get the gap to go away.

posted by pfuller at 10:55 AM on April 28, 2003

sorry dj, that's a big N-O on clemens, ok?

posted by jerseygirl at 11:13 AM on April 28, 2003

no gaps for me, you have to make sure you remove all the carriage returns in the table, so it will be like: table tr td content /td /tr tr content td /td /tr /table

posted by corpse at 01:56 PM on April 28, 2003

ah, o.k. thanks, corpse.
